The course serves to develop the maximum output as regards vocal extension, uniformity of registers, power and interpretative skill and expressivity, and to perform the repertoire.
The 1-hour lessons are individual, utilizing MRM Method and deal with the following subjects:
Breathing
- Knowledge of the phonatory system.
- Breathing from the diaphragm.
- Holding the breath and control of air flow.
- Elasticity of respiratory muscles.
Voice technique
- Timing.
- Resonance and warm-up.
- Vocal exercises.
- Work on Vocal Tract.
- Study of vocal classifications.
- Singing in different registered and study of passages.
- Voice practice.
- Elasticity of the soft palate (opening of the throat and elevation of the soft palate).
- Vocal focus
- Articulation and diction
Study of the repertoire
- Performance of progressively more difficult pieces of Italian and international popular music from pop to rock, from blues to jazz.
- Selection of pieces to sing on recorded bases.
- Singing with the microphone.
Further study
- Elements of vocal hygiene.
- Basic elements of phoniatrics.
- Listening.
